With almost everybody having access to the internet, time and distance is no longer an obstacle. Online dating has come of age. There are some guidelines to keep in mind.
Online dating sites give you the option to post your picture so that others can see you.
The book will be judged by its cover, whether you like it or not. Your picture is the first item on your profile that friend seekers will see and look at, if they like what they see then will they read your profile! And take the initiative to get in touch with you. That’s fine.
But if you look like a dork in your picture, only another dork would want you to be their date or partner in the future, right? What you see is what you get!
What To Avoid When You Upload Your Picture to the Dating Site |

- Do not wear caps, muscle shirts, or sunglasses.
- Be at your best, well-groomed, and don’t forget to shave or trim your beard.
|
- Avoid hats, sunglasses and head scarves.
- Avoid showing too much skin unless all you want are sexy inquiries.
|
- Make sure the picture you upload is appropriate for the dating site.
- People are not interested in the background, so the picture must be of you and not of the building or beach behind you!
- Avoid posting group pictures. Be careful about posting direct contact information, it may be cute but it’s not safe! You don’t know who it will end up with or who may contact you.
- The reason for posting a picture on your profile is to let others see you and hopefully make the move to contact you – well then you should be at your best! Do not post a picture that brings out the worst in you!
